He was born November 16, 1976 in Peoria, IL to Steven and Linda (Noland) McMahill. Stevie was preceded in death by both paternal grandparents and his maternal grandfather.
Surviving are his parents, Steven (Stephanie Greanias) McMahill Sr. of Peoria, Linda Freeman of Cherokee Village, AR, his forever sweetheart Tina Alverson and their three children, Steven James, Evangeline Angel and Zachary Christian McMahill; maternal grandmother, Muriel Elser of Cherokee Village, AR; brother, Joshua Presley of Washington, IL; and numerous, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He worked for McMahill & Sons Construction until his passing.
Stevie was a wonderful man. He loved adventure, people, places and things. He worked hard and would do anything for anyone. Time stopped too soon, Stevie is with Jesus now, this we know. Leaving behind family, his forever sweetheart Tina and their children, acquaintances and child hood friends. A piece of us died with him that morning and with that said, it left an emptiness and an uncertainty of purpose that the only the Lord can mend. As a child, Stevie played five years of football that he always talked about. He loved working for his father within his construction company. He loved family, boating, jet skiing, dirt biking, four wheeling, racing, gaming, watching a great movie or reading a good book. He loved God’s scripture and talking about the different stories in the Bible. Strong’s Concordance was his favorite scripture referencing tool. He also had a wild-side that he struggled with but, never defined who he was as a person. Stevie had the “it” factor. People loved him and swarmed to him because of his outgoing, pleasant, charming, compassionate personality. He loved animals, dogs were his favorite. People knew Stevie for his friendliness, in fact calling everyone “friend” because this is what he truly thought about people as a whole, we are all friends. Stevie is now at peace with the Lord for all eternity through his personal salvation that he announced to Christ and the belief that he had in the cross. Because of God’s grace, we are saved through His Son Jesus. We all love you Stevie, we will never let go. A visitation will be on Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. A funeral service will be on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 10 am at the funeral home. The Rev. Gary Salm will officiate. Cremation will be accorded following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an educational fund established for his children.
