Sylvio St. Jean, 93, of East Hartford, beloved husband of Annette (Jambard) St. Jean went to heaven on April 10, 2018 to reunite with his father, Randolph and mother, Olive (Daigle) St. Jean. He was surrounded by his loving family throughout his brief illness, who will dearly miss him. Sylvio was born on May 5, 1924 in Lille, Maine. He served in WWII as an Army Staff Sargeant, returning home to marry Annette in 1947, moving to East Hartford in 1950. He was employed at Whitney Chain for 33 years as a supervisor. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and gardening was his specialty. He loved spending time and playing cards with family and friends. He will be missed especially by his little four-legged friend “Molly” who followed him everywhere. He is survived by his loving family, his beloved wife Annette, daughter Sylvia Milne and her friend, Sal Guerrera, son Elden St. Jean and his friend Sylvia Seaver, son Rodney St. Jean and his wife Lois, son Mark St. Jean and his friend Diane Koch, five grandchildren: Judd, Tracy, Jennifer, Christopher and Dana, seven great-grandchildren: Madison, Erin, Kyle, Caitlin, Emma, Reed and Alaina. He is also survived by two brothers: Clarence and Joe, and three sisters: Edwina, Merilda and Olida. Besides his parents he was predeceased by five bothers: Roland, Conrad, Alde, Rudy, Norman, and one sister Anita.

A special thank you to the staff of CB5 at Hartford Hospital, especially the nurses who showed so much compassion to our family and the great care they gave to Dad.
Friends and family are invited to attend a period of visitation on Monday, April 16th, 2018, from 4pm-7pm at Benjamin J. Callahan Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, CT. 06108. Services begin on Tuesday, April 17th at 9am at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Mary Church, 15 Maplewood Ave., East Hartford.
