She was born in North Wilksboro on December 27, 1930 to Joseph Samuel and Teana Bayles Zimmerman. Billye Jo was a devoted member of Clemmons UMC. She was a talented decorator and enjoyed interior design. Billye Jo loved playing cards and games, but her favorite game was bridge. She always looked forward to playing with her Bridge groups each week.
Billye Jo is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Joseph Samuel Zimmerman, Jr. She leaves behind her loving husband of 59 years, Robert Gray Furches; daughter, Theresa Furches; grandson, Alex Blackman; sister, Pattie Little; and many other loved ones and friends.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, and best friend. She will truly be missed.
The family will receive friends for a visitation on Tuesday, May 1st at 12:30pm at Clemmons UMC, 3700 Clemmons Rd. A memorial service will follow at 2pm. Frank Vogler & Sons Funeral Home Clemmons Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
