He was raised in Malden MA, lived in Saugus MA where he raised his family of 7 children and eventually settled in Lauderdale by the Sea, FL.
Danny had a 50 year career working on the Boston Waterfront where he was a Long Shore Clerk for Local 1066 and Chief Clerk with ITO.
Many of his hobbies and interests were from his love for the sea. He was a member of the Fox Hill Yacht Club in Saugus MA, where he spent many years restoring boats and spending time on the water.
If you didn’t find him on the water you could find him watching or playing a round of golf.
Danny also was an avid Boston sports fan who especially enjoyed watching The New England Patriots. He will be remembered by his family and friends for his clever wit and gift of story telling.
Danny is now at rest with his dance partner, love of his life and wife of 65 years Jean Moore (Ireland) and is survived by 7 children; Deborah Robinson and her husband William of Saugus, MA, William Moore of Saugus, MA, Jeffrey Moore and his wife Andrea of West Barnstable, MA, Joyce Pert of Lauderdale by the Sea, FL, Elizabeth Moore of Denver, CO, Laura Ferry and her husband Bill of Winchester, MA and Daniel Moore Jr of Saugus, MA. He was the proud grandfather of 10 and great-grandfather of 8 wonderful children that brought him immense joy. In addition Daniel leaves behind brothers James Moore, John Moore and Francis Moore and Robert Moore. He was predeceased by siblings Walter Moore, Roderick Moore, Richard Moore and Joan Roach.
Family and friends may visit at Kraeer Funeral home 200 N. federal Highway Pompano Beach, FL for a Memorial Visitation on Wednesday May 9, 2018. 2-4 pm. Memorial Service at 4pm. and Reception to follow after service at 4:30 pm.
