He was born in Union County on December 21, 1923 son of the late Norman and Emma Braswell Tarlton. Homer was preceded in death by his three brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Ruth P. Tarlton; his three sons, Dennis Tarlton (Becky), Roger Tarlton (Pam) and Tony Tarlton (Cathy); his grandchildren, Keri Bennington, Jeff Tarlton, Nick Tarlton and Matt Tarlton and by his eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 11:30am until 1:00pm on Tuesday May 8, 2018 at Mountain Springs Baptist Church with a service to celebrate Mr. Tarlton's life to follow at 1:00pm with Rev. Phil McLean officiating. Interment will be held in Lakeland Memorial Park.
