Some of the great joys in his life, aside from his family, were cars and motorcycles, about which he could tell you everything you ever wanted to know. Thomas was a regular attendee at Hope Community Church and was part of a small group led by Brad and Hilary Schaefer.
He is survived by his wife, Sherri Moorman, his daughters, Ashley and Natalie Moorman, his mother Liz Joyce, his step-father Bobby Joyce, his brothers and sisters Denise Evans, Mark and Denise Moorman, Robert and Amy Sykes, Robert and Tammy Joyce. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Moorman Sr.
You could often find Thomas riding his bike on the Tobacco Trail with his parents and siblings. He loved to run and walk his two dogs, Winston and Charlotte. For the past 35 years he has worked for Duke Energy at the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant. He was loved by his family, friends, and coworkers.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 14, 2018 at 11:00am with visitation starting at 10:00am at Hope Community Church's Raleigh Campus, 821 Buck Jones Rd. A graveside service will be held Monday, May 14, 2018 at 4:00pm, Barnhardt Baptist Church Cemetery, 1033 Brittle St., Goodview, VA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Community Church if desired.
