Joe I have so many memories with you. You will never be forgotten. 

You were the first person to show me how to shoot a BB gun even though I was 5 and not allowed. You were the first one to show me what happens when you feed Alka-Seltzer to a seagull. You showing me and Jeff how to blow things up with firecrackers in nannys backyard is what started the love I have for fireworks today. I will never forget the time me you my dad went fishing you thought you had the biggest fish on when you finally got it reeled in it was another fishing pole then you reeled that in and there was a seagull on the hook you were so mad. lol.

As a teenager working at proto tek with you made work not so bad we ate breakfast and lunch together everyday sitting in your car cracking jokes.

As adults my son's and I driving our four wheelers over to your house our kids would play while you and I would just sit on your front porch and talk sometimes for hours .

I promise you no matter what we will all make sure your daughter is taken care of

There is an empty place in our hearts today. Your love for our family was evident in so many ways. I will never forget your smile.

To my closest friend, brother, ally, and partner in crime. You have been taken from us way too soon. We may have grown apart, but whenever we reconnected we were able to pick up where we left off. No matter what happened in our lives, we were always there for each other. We did everything together, shared the same ideas, and dreams. We were invincible and inseparable. You were the best friend that everyone dreams of having. No matter what happened, our friendship was unconditional. You and your family took me in as if I was one of you. As I sit here and reminisce, I am grateful for the time we shared. 
I will always remember your ready smile (smirk) and open heart. You always had the “screw it” attitude, but everyone knew you had a heart of gold and really cared about each and everyone of us. 
You were adored by so many, especially your Mother. You could never do wrong. You always had a way to put a smile on her face. There was always an unbelievable sweetness and special bond between the two of you. Even though you would eventually give your heart to someone else, there was always a dedicated spot for Mom. My heart is so heavy, thinking of how much she will miss you. I promise I will check on her and look after her just as you did. As we both know, she was my 2nd Mom. 😊
We will all be sad that you are no longer with us, but we will all look back at the memories we had. Your farewell will be tearful but it will be another memory to hold onto. Our friendship is one of the best things that ever happened to me and I will miss you from the bottom of my heart. I am honored to have known you. Thank you for being you. Thank you for accepting and loving everyone. Thank you for being someone that impacted the lives of so many. Please watch over us and send us messages from time to time. You will never be forgotten. Heaven will be a happier place with the sound of your laughter. Rest in peace my friend.



My Son.You are gone and I don't know how I am going to get thru this!

Joe we have done so many things together it is impossible you will ever be forgotten. 

Starting from me being a little kid and the most favorite thing to do when I came to Nanny's house was to see what new video games you got that you would let me play, what cool new weapon you bought that me and Jeff weren't allowed to tell nanny about and most of all me ,Jeff , and you wrestling I'm sure you would say it was you kicking our asses but Jeff and I both know deep down where the reason you started working out once you couldn't beat us up at the same time anymore . 

To me as a teenager and you working at Proto Tek eating breakfast and lunch together every single day among many other things.  

As adults when my son's and I would Drive our four wheelers over to your house and me and you would sit and talk while louie, Henry, and Mackenzie would play on the four wheelers. 

You were the first one that showed me what happens when you feed Alka-Seltzer to a seagull. You showing me and Jeff how to blow stuff up with firecrackers is the reason I love Fireworks. I'll never forget when me and you and my dad went fishing how mad you got when you thought you caught the biggest fish and once you reeled it in it wasn't a fish it was a fishing pole and once you reeled the fishing pole in that you caught there was a seagull hooked up to the lure.

Words cannot express how it feels to lose someone you've always looked up to, someone who always was there to guide and protect you. Joe wasn't a cousin he was a brother, none of us looked at each other as just cousins we always felt closer like brothers and sisters like best friends. 

The memories I have growing up with Joe are some of the best times I've ever had. My love for horror movies, my passion for working out, joining the Army - all came from Joe, 
We would watch scary movies even after Nanny would yell at him for letting me watch, then he would scare the crap out of me all night by running around in his halloween masks. Joe use to have Army posters all over his walls, he was into GI Joe's like no other, he use to tell me all the time how he wanted to go into the Army, we would watch military movies all the time our favorite was Sniper. When the day came I was old enough to join I was proud to do so knowing how happy and proud he was of me. 

In so many ways he inspired me to be who I am today. 

Growing up at Nanny's at the times I did allowed me and Joe to spend a lot of time together. I still remember like it was yesterday sitting on his couch playing playstation almost every day for like 2 years straight. Playing NHL All Star and Madden over and over trying to see who was the best. 

All the fighting myself, Joe and Lil Jimmy would get into with each other. I still think about how at Diane's 50th an entire rumble started and ended with just me Jimmy and Joe fighting each other and anyone who tried to stop us. We loved to challenge each other. We loved messing with each other. 

I will always cherish every memory, I wish there was still time to make more. 

- Tracy said it best - we might not see each other as much as we should, we might not communicate as much as we should, but regardless the connection we share the love we have for one another will never change

Joe, it's just so hard to believe one of us 11 (First Cousins) is gone.  Wow.  You were Nanny's handsome prince.  That was what she called you from the start. You have always lived up to that name❤ 
Even though we didn't see each other very much, I feel a deep sense of something missing from our family.  As crazy as life can be, even when we don't communicate as much as we should,  I believe deep down all of us have a very deep connection and there will always be a link missing in this chain.  Rest In Heaven Joe Michael!  We will all make sure your memory will live on and Minzie will know how much her daddy loved her and her Mommy❤

Dear husband of Dominque Scroy. Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be missed by his dogs Koda and Bear and his rabbits.
