Gregory “Pat” “Sarge” Grigg, age 71 of Gasport, entered into rest on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Born April 19, 1947 in Norfolk, VA, Pat is the son of the late Charles Grigg and Gail (Ferraro) Grigg.
Pat worked at Pivot Punch as a CNC Machinist. He was an avid golfer and bowler. He loved to watch Westerns, anything with John Wayne and reading books by Louis L’Amour. He married Kathleen Burkert September 14, 1973 in Tonawanda, NY. They have been married for 44 years.
He served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War and then the Army Reserves retiring after
25 years. Pat was a member of the Royalton Bible Church. He had lived in Gasport since 1974, previously of Indiana.
Surviving Pat is his wife: Kathleen (Burkert) Grigg and children: Rebecca Grigg and Justin (Natalie) Grigg; grandfather of: Charlotte Grigg; sister of: Cindy Re, Janine Ferraro, Kathy Marshall, Gary (Nikki) Grigg and Debbie Perri. Also survived by his stepmother: Sharon Grigg and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friend are invited to attend visitation at the Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main Street, Gasport, on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 from 6 – 8 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 11 am from the Royalton Bible Church, 8457 Bunkerhill Road, Gasport, NY. Interment will be in Royalton Union Cemetery, Gasport, NY.
