Charlotte, NC-Martha Wallace Cochran, 82, passed away Monday afternoon, June 4, 2018 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House at Aldersgate.

Born January 1, 1936 in Miami, Florida, Martha was the daughter of the late Eugene and Clara Young Wallace.

Retiring as the Administrator at Kindred Home Health Care, she received her Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Martha was a faithful member of Harvest Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Ruth Byrum and her husband, Glenn; and 6 grandchildren, Kaki, Sam, Jordan, Joshua, Elijah and Luke.

In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her siblings, Edna Mokher and Don Wallace; and the father of Ruth Byrum, Jay Cochran.

Funeral services are planned for 2:00 pm Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Harvest Church, 7429 Tuskaseegee Road, Charlotte, NC 28214. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 1 to 2 pm. Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery.
