I A and I  were Analysts in the Dallas Regional Office of Intelligence and Supervisors in Oklahoma. A true Gentleman and Intellect.

I.A. was my direct supervisor for several years and he assigned me to the FBI and the Oklahoma City Police Department. He  told me to go make cases which I did with his full support and guidance and that is the only way it worked.   My career would not have been as successful or fun without his support as my boss.  When he reviewed your case, it was ready for the US Attorney.  Rest In Peace Special Agent Filer for there are no more cases to review and  you have earned it.  

From the moment my parents met and we became a family Butch took interest in my life.  When I had my first daughter D’Anna,  he enjoyed hanging out playing with her and Jacob who have grown up more brother and sister then Uncle and niece. He attended sporting events and cheered her on. Butch always had a smile on his face and was such a joy to be around. Fast forward ten years later when I had my second daughter Brooklyn.  As a baby she went right to him no hesitation. Babies are a good judge character.  Many many family dinners that where filled with laughter and good times will be the memories we hold on too.  Butch always tried to make everyone happy. He was one of those people that put other people’s happiness before his own and was such a genuine person. This is not good bye but see you later. 

Words can not Express the emotions I feel for my papa. He was the greatest man I ever had the pleasure of meeting. A true one and only, my papa was so kind,genuine, loving, down to earth, funny,and caring. Papa and I always enjoyed a good laugh and watching sports together. We always used to try new things together even if it was nasty we finished it! There will never be another man like my papa and he will forever be missed but never forgotten.  You were my bestfriend, mentor and someone I will forever look up to! Rest easy papa I love you and let's bring the series back home to Houston again! I'm going to do my best to score another goal for you and win a game. Thank you for everything you have ever done papa! God gained an amazing soul. Tell grandma and grandpa hi for me.

The memories with Butch, my father-in-law.  From the beginning of rescuing us from a tornado when Karl’s car broke down.  He ran to rescue Karl, myself, son Joey and my dog Mollie.  We ended up under a bridge where a lot of people were, we said the Hail Mary.  

When Karl was out of the country, I had to call him because of a snake on the side of the house.  Here came Butch.  Granite it was a small one, but a snake is a snake.  Butch and Grandpa rescuing a baby blue jay in our yard and took to Norman.

Butch and Cathy always enjoyed coming over for dinner, as we both love to cook.  Shared a glass of wine good conversations.  He loved my shrimp cocktail that I made.  His last birthday, he got to have his key lime pie out of a mason jar.  We always tried to do something special for him and Cathy when over for special dinners.

Playing ball with Jacob in the front yard, running those bases. Supported Jacob while he was an altar server at St Joseph’s and they would attend Mass with us.  Always enjoyed going to functions that Karl and I were involved in if that was at St Joseph’s and/or school auctions.  Bidding on the Red Hawks suite and we used for my 50th birthday with friends and family.  That was great.  Helping us to pick up the Smart car in Tulsa and taking Route 66 back home. Sailing on the sail boat with him and just relaxing. Picnic at Lake Hefner with Cathy, Butch, Sister Susan and watching Jacob and Joey kayak in the lake.   What a pleasant time.  I’m glad I got to sit on the couch with him recently and looked at pictures on my phone talking and sharing pictures of my kids, granddaughters and Jacob.  So many memories, will miss that laughing out loud laugh.

Butch took an interest in all of our lives no matter what it was.  We will truly miss him.

I. A .was a remarkable, great individual that always had my highest respect and admiration.

I was an IRS Field Agent in Beaumont and Austin, Texas and assisted I. A. on at least four investigations from 1967-1973, possibly his first case. His quiet wit,  unending humor, memory skills, and attention to detail were great assets that made him a "Special" Special Agent in the old Intelligence Division of IRS.

He will be greatly missed not only by his family but by all that knew him. Our loss but Heavens gain!

I.A. hired me and was my first Group Manager as they were called then in Oklahoma City.  He actually started with CID in Dallas.  Very good supervisor and very classy man.  Sad to hear that he has passed.  He loved to sail his boat on Lake Hefner in OKC.  He always had a jar of Atomic Fireball candy on his desk.  If you needed to meet with him, you and he would each take one and put them in your mouth.  The meeting ended when you took it out of your mouth.  I was one of the few in the office who could outlast him.  So, my meetings never ended early.  To know I.A. was to like him. 

I was saddened by the death of IA.  I appreciate Kathy calling us in Houston to share this news.

IA was my supervisor in the US Treasury CID.  He was a honest, thoughtful and supportive man.  He was helpful in making some of my most interesting assignments. I am grateful for his encouraging management style. 

I admired his strong faith and service in his church.  I have talked to him several times since our retirements and our move to Houston, Texas.

I will miss IA and regret that we can not be at his memorial service to share memories about him and our fellow agents with whom we served.
