 Would’ve been celebrating her hundredth birthday on July 3, 2020 she couldn’t wait to get her letter from the president she loved her politics she love Colorado she loved her family this year she’ll be celebrating that hundredth birthday with all our love ones that have joined her in heaven we miss you and happy birthday   Great memories and great love to a wonderful person 🎈🎂🎉🇺🇸🎉🇺🇸

My mom loved Easter   Doing her Easter egg dying  with her granddaughter was the highlight of her life.    We will miss my mother this Easter will be the first one  without my dear mother 
 This year for my birthday was my hardest day in my grieving   I dearly miss my mom    I know she’s in a better place with God and in heaven

Gina's Eulogy
Hello everyone – it’s Karen Engel.  I’m an old friend of the family and have the honor of sharing a few memories of Gina today.  
Gina was a Colorado native.  She was born to Gerry and Louise Santangelo.  The 2nd of five children, Gina’s siblings included 3 sisters Marie, Yolanda, Lillian and one brother Eddie.  With the official birth name of Virginia – she was also referred to as Gina, Neenee and even Rover by her husband Charlie. 
Gina’s father was very musically inclined and encouraged his children to follow his path.  They practiced as a family; eventually forming a six-piece orchestra.   Gina playing the drums; Dad the violin, Eddie on the trumpet, Yolanda on the banjo, Marie on the piano   They played all over Denver at weddings, funerals, you name it.  
While her orchestra career was short lived, Gina always considered herself a musician.  Since musicians worked late and never went to bed early, it became a pattern for her daily routine.
Growing up in Denver, Gina attended North High school. At North High, Gina hung out with her cousin Clarence LaGuardia.  I understand that she and Clarence were late to school on a regular basis.  This resulted in frequent visits to the principal’s office.   In fact, once the principal asked Gina if her younger sister Yolanda would be following her footsteps with being late and regular visits to his office.
After graduating high school, Gina’s fast typing skills landed her a position at the State Capital.  She was so proud to have worked there, making a dollar a day.
Gina met the love of her life - right across the street from where she lived.  Gina met Charlie Sanza while he was visiting his mother Carmella.  Turns out that Charlie’s mom was a very close friend to Gina’s family.   Gina visited Carmella often and even more frequently after Charlie’s arrival.    Gina fell in love with this tall handsome Italian from NYC.  Gina and Charlie had a beautiful wedding.  They were married at Regis, in the old chapel do

Dear Aunt Gina..
I, for one, know you've only changed forms and are very much alive, on the other side!  (Welcome to my world!)   As a newcomer to this fabulous Italian family 55 years ago, I was so taken with the beautiful clothes you always wore and your terrific talent for accessorizing.  You always looked like a million dollars and a million dollar couple with Uncle Charlie at your side.  Now you're both reunited and we're thrilled for your heavenly ability to breathe easily, move about effortlessly with whatever your heart desires---dance, do cartwheels, skip...etc.---free from all previous earth-bound limitations!    As you well know, your daughter, Yvonne, saw to it that you had love,  lovely surroundings and first rate care until you took very last breath.   I know you are even more grateful upon looking back at the years of her steady dedication and care.   It was the ultimate in what I call, "Daughtering"!---something that so many people don't have the privilege of enjoying.
