Bobby served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict and retired after 30 years. He was beloved by his family and was a loving Paw Paw who enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Richard Smith of New York, Edward Smith of New York, Clifford Smith and wife, Tamara of Denver, NC, Jarred Smith of GA and Renee Smith of New York; sister, Darlene Marshall of GA and brother, Bill Smith of GA; grandchildren, Cameron, Connor, Katie, Becca, Austin, Elijah, Hailey, Alexis and Coleson; one great-grandson, Masiah.
A celebration of his life will be held at 12:00 PM, Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Carothers Funeral Home in Stanley, NC. Reverend Mike Scott will preside.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
