Rudolph Christian Melhorn, age 84 of Holland, passed away Friday, June 29, 2018 at home.

Rudy was a veteran of the United States Army (1953-1955).

He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy; son Rudy Melhorn Sr.; and great grandson Christopher Alsip-Knight.

Surviving are his son Bruce (Patricia) Melhorn; daughter Kristina (Doug) Alsip; step son Graham (Anthony) Michels; step daughter Linda Welch; sisters Rena (Wayne) Honeycutt, and Mildred Heath; 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; many extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Friday, July 6, 2018 at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St., Holland. Burial with military honors will follow at Lakewood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 12noon until the time of the service Friday at Lakeshore Memorial.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland.
