Rachel Ann (Iasiello) Mastronunzio, 80, beloved wife of Edward Mastronunzio, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at her home. Rachel was born in Bristol, Rhode Island and was the daughter of the late Henry and Estelle (Sherman) Iasiello. She had been employed by CW Resources for over 10 years and a retiree of Pearse-Pearson Co. She was an avid sports fan and loved the UConn girls basketball, the Red Sox and the Steelers, she loved her floral gardens and was known as an exceptional 'gourmet' cook to her family and friends. Rachel loved spending time with family and friends, playing card games and enjoyed time at the beach. In addition to her husband of 46 years, Edward, she will be dearly missed by her children; her son, Ronald McDaniel and his wife, Karen of Uncasville, her daughters; Robbin Cote and her husband George, and Rachelle Gauvin and her husband Eric, both of Kensington. Her precious grandchildren: Eric, Joseph, Matthew, Thomas, Aaron and Adam. She is survived by her sisters; Estelle Davis of Wallingford and Constance Gaudet of Scituate, Mass.
Her Celebration of Life Service will begin, Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 1:00PM at New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, followed by a time of visitation until 4:00PM. Private burial will be at a later date.
