Ada Irma Malave

Ada Irma Malave died peacefully in St. Francis Hospital on 7/5/2018 in Hartford, CT at the age of 75. Ada was born March 6, 1943 in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico to parents Julian Marquez-Vargas and Aurelia Ortiz.

Ada is survived by her mother Aurelia Ortiz, 4 children Betsy Walker, Edgar Collazo, Ricardo Collazo, Felicita Russo and their perspective families. Ada will be missed by her 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and her many nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by her siblings; Priscila Perez, Felicita Acosta, Maltide Pena, and Gilberto Lajara and is preceded in death by Luis Malave Husband, Father Julian Marquez-Vargas, Sister Mirta Marquez, Brother Ivan Lajara, Brother Julio Marquez, Eutaquio Marquez.

Calling hours will be held July 9, 2018 from 4-8pm at Newkirk &Whitney Funeral Home 318 Burnside Ave. East Hartford CT 06108. A celebration of Ada’s life will be held July 10, 2018 at 10:00am at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home with a burial to follow at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery 1 Cottage Grove Road Bloomfield, CT 06002.
