Jean M. Scutt

Born September 17, 1932 in Potterville, MI to Ivan W. and Anna M. (Mathes) Swift, passed away on July 9, 2018, at the age of 85. Jean was a resident of Ingham County for her entire adult life. She worked at the Ingham County Farm Bureau Office for more than 25 years. Jean was a very active member of the Aurelius Baptist Church, she loved playing cards and traveling. Jean enjoyed dancing with her husband Don, who preceded her in death in 2016. Her family was very important to her, especially her grandchildren.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Don Scutt; parents; and two brothers and one sister. Surviving to cherish her memory are her son, Don (Susie) Scutt Jr.; daughters, Dy (Ron) Clark, Melody (Matt) Bennett; 6 grandchildren, Bethany (Mike) Schultz, Juliane (Craig) Beishuizen, Anna Bennett, Isaac Bennett, Will Scutt, Shannon (Ken) Jones; 4 great-grandchildren, Haleigh Scutt, Kaydence Schultz, Emmalyn Beishuizen and Evan Patrick Jones.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Aurelius Baptist Church, 4419 W. Barnes Rd., Mason, MI 48854 with Pastor Steve Aikin officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Aurelius Twp. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, July 13, 2018 at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 621 S. Jefferson St., Mason, MI 48854 and one hour prior to the service at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to the Aurelius Baptist Church in memory of Jean.
