Matthew Vincent Peplinski

Matthew V. Peplinski, age 100, of Eastpointe passed away Friday, July 20, 2018. Beloved husband of 57 years to the late Lillian; dear father to Laura (James) Towers, Polly (Paul) Wargo, Matthew (Terry) Peplinski, and Robert (Ann) Peplinski; loving grandfather to Melissa (Vince) Puma, Justin (Devon) Wargo, Matthew Towers, Grace Peplinski, Steven (Shanika) Peplinski, Kyle (Samantha) Peplinski, and Melody Peplinski; and great-grandfather to Addison, Brewer, Harper, Holden, Willow, Isla, Miles, Chance, and Journey. Matthew was preceded in death by 7 brothers and 6 sisters. He retired after 30 years in the United States Marine Corp. Matthew served in WWII and the Korean War and was awarded the Bronze Star. Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at St. Basil the Great Catholic Church, 22851 Lexington Ave, Eastpointe, MI 48021. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
