A funeral service will be held 12:00 noon Monday, July 30, 2018 in the chapel of Sechrest Funeral Service in High Point. A private family burial will follow the funeral service. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12 noon at the funeral home prior to the service.
Heather was born on September 1, 1971 in Asheville, NC to Donna Hardes and the late David Allan Collins. She was educated in Guilford County, Myrtle Beach SC, and Phoenix AZ. She worked in human resources for various companies, including, Southern Mill Supply of High Point.
In addition to her father, Heather was preceded in death by a daughter, Hillary Paige Godfrey in 1990; maternal grandparents, Martha Laughter and Bessemer Hardes; and paternal grandparents Phyllis Proffitt and LeRoy Collins.
The greatest loves of her life were her two daughters. Heather was always a loving support to her mother, especially over the last five years.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her beloved daughter, Mary Jordan Collins; sister, Courtney Elizabeth Hunter; and several family members and friends.
