Whitener, Josephine M., 83, passed away August 1, 2018.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Irene Jefferson; daughter, Diane Whitener; and brothers, Ralph Jefferson and Wallace Jefferson.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Judy Antle (Gary), Donna Blake (Bill), and Carl "Frog" Whitener (Nora); grandchildren, Tim "T.J." Blake, Carletta Wilson, Tabatha King (Mike), Nick Blake, and Little Carl Whitener; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Samone, Brooke, Bryan, Ethan, Lacey, Kiera, Jayleann, and Brianna; sisters, Betty Holloman and Wanda Bryant; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral service will be held Monday, August 6, 2018 at 12 pm at Evergreen Funeral Home Dignity Chapel with burial at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 pm-8 pm at the funeral home.
