Mary Carole Stevens

Mary Carole Stevens, 79, passed away on Monday, August 6, 2018 following a brief illness. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 10, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Dziadul officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 886 Mulberry St., Macon GA 31201

Mary was born in Macon, GA to the late Roger Tennyson and Mary Eva Hinson. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Tommie Stevens and her son, Roger Joey Stevens. She was a lifelong native of Macon, where she worked with the Macon Police Department as a Police Dispatcher and most recently with the Bibb County Board of Education Police Department. Mary was a member of Mabel White Baptist Church and the WMU. She loved animals and volunteering with various animal rescues.

She is survived by her daughter, Janet (David) Stroud of Savannah, grandson, David (Ashley) Stroud, Jr. of Savannah, Austin Taylor Stevens of Santa Cruz, CA, sister, Faye (Dieter) Schneider of Bolingreen, KY and several nieces and nephews.
