Since my Uncle John passed, I have been trying to find the words to share and express to my Aunt Betty, Ellen, Elaine and cousins Vincent, Keena, Shana and Maren how truly grateful and how much I appreciate them sharing him with me and so many others over the years.  Honestly I still can't seem to find the words that can express the love I have in my heart for him and how truly grateful I am that gave God brougth him and my Aunt Betty together to become my uncle.   His was one of the greatest loves of my life.  He was truly my rock.  Uncle John always showed me unconditional love.  My fondest memories of him  is his laugh and how it could fill the air in any space or situation with happiness and love.  I will miss him dearly but will always remember him fondly and love him for eternity.

Dear Shana & The Golding Family

I just wanted to reach out and extend my condolences upon the loss of your father.  
Please know that I am thinking of  you and your family, however, Mr. Golding left
you all an awesome legacy and beautiful memories that will sustain you.

I have hundreds of memories but one inparticular, which I have my kids do now is saveing all coins even pennies because they add up and you should never waste any money.  I think this is why I'm so frugal and handle money well to this day.   Love me some Dr. Golding! I will miss your stories on that porch and laughing all the time!!

I can still hear John's  laugh from first meeting in undergrad biology while dissecting (and healing)  the frog
 through med school exams( we came up with some funny answers)  and after. Will
remember the laugh as long as I can hear. 


My Uncle John was more like a father figure than an uncle.  He was truly a humble man with a personality that people gravitated to. He was extremely generous with his time and demonstrated that no matter your status he treated everyone with the same enthusiasm & respect.... When this extremely intelligent man held “Court” you would leave either exhausted from laughing uncontrollably or thankful for some profound knowledge he just shared. His laugh could move a mountain and that smile was as bright as the heavens. I can honestly say my Uncle John was a great man.

Grandchildren- Haley Lauriel, John Vincent IV, Taylor Jasmine, Elijah Masai, Deven Marcellus, Sydney Mary-Ellen, Ava Mignon, and Marcus Keith Jr. Other loving survivors include twin sisters, C. Ellen Golding and C. Elaine Golding, numerous cousins, other relatives, and friends.
