James Dorse Hightower

He was born September 13, 1942 in Sidney, AR to Fred and Edna Hightower. On May 28, 1976 he married Patsy Vinson. She preceded him on July 10, 2018.

James and Patsy loved to travel and saw much of the country on their motorcycle. He enjoyed being outdoors; wether he was tinkering around with his buddy Bill or hunting and fishing. He loved playing at the casino especially the diamond lotto and liberty 7 games. Young and The Restless was his favorite soap opera but above all he loved spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memory are children: DeWayne and wife Dianne Hightower, Steven and wife Debbie Hightower, Kevin and wife Michelle Hightower, Michael Hightower; Step- children: Karen Dalley, Connie Cook, Earl and wife Patty Cox, Becky Willingham and Nancy Cox; siblings: Maxine Holdge, Jack Hightower, Bill Hightower, Jerry Hightower, Francine Peterson; best friend: Bill Birch; as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 42 years: Patsy; siblings: Allene Garner and Nadine Holloway.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday September 7, 2018 at Primrose Funeral Service. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday September 8, 2018 at Primrose Funeral Service, Norman, OK. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Jerry Clifton will officiate.
