He proudly served his country in the United States Army and Air National Guard in Charlotte. Joel will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Randal Green (Brenda) of Dallas, and Michelle Green of Dallas; grandchildren, Angie Green, Michael Green, Nikki Fowler, Caelyn Farrow and Cadence Farrow; four great-grandchildren, Austin Huckabee, Ashlyn Huckabee, Paxton Green and Connor Green; siblings, Tommy Green of Ooltewah, TN, Danny Green of Benton, TN, Diane Bynum of Lincolnton, NC and Karen Hanna of Dallas, NC.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jerrell Green and one son, Joel Michael Green.
A celebration of his life will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at the Dallas Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park in Gastonia.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
