Dessie Mae Herrmann, 93, of Athens, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018. She was preceded by husband George Herrmann; parents; 5 sisters and 1 brother. She is survived by 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and John Perez of Rio Rancho, NM, Deborah and Bill Shepard of Nashville, TN and Theresa and Glenn Palermo of Athens, TN. 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Don Messer of Memphis, TN and brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Patty Beard of New Orleans. The family will receive friends Thursday September 27, 2018 from 11:00am -1:00pm at Sherwood Chapel with service to follow at 1:00pm. Entombment will follow in Sherwood Chapel & Memorial Gardens.
