Betty went to Magnolia Elementary School, Central Jr High School, Poly High School, and graduated from Ramona High School in 1958. Betty enjoyed crocheting, arts and crafts, and cooking but her pride and joy were her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling, cruises, and spending her summers at the river with her family.
Betty is survived by her husband of 60 years Dick Mitchell; 2 sisters Bonnie Strebe and Sharon Thurman; 5 children Debby and husband Don Wells, Jenny and husband Joe Schulte, Rick Mitchell, Jeff and wife Kim Mitchell, and Brad Mitchell; 12 grandchildren Ryan and Amber Wells, Justin and wife Jessica Schulte, and Jason Schulte, Alyssa, Ricky, and Reed Mitchell, Tyler and wife Megan Mitchell, Tanner and wife Chandler Mitchell, and Travis Mitchell, and Brandon and Blake Mitchell, and 8 great-grandchildren Ella and Zephyr Mitchell, Gunnar, Dixie, and Rowdy Mitchell, Jace Schulte, Waylon Wells, and Juliet Mitchell.
Betty will be remembered as a loving and caring Wife, Mother, Grandma, Great-Grandma, Sister, and Friend. She will be forever missed by everyone.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Alzheimer's Association and The Parkinson's Association.
A Celebration of Life Service will be on Thursday, November 8th, 10:00am at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary, 7944 Magnolia Ave., Riverside, CA 92504.
Graveside services will be on Thursday, November 8th, 11:30am at Olivewood Cemetery, 3300 Central Ave., Riverside, CA 92506.
A reception will be on Thursday, November 8th, immediately following the Graveside Service at Riverside Rancheros, 1198 Washington St., Riverside, CA 92506.
