Billy Catherine Fininis

Billy Catherine Fininis, 84 of Baytown, Texas died on November 1, 2018. Billy was born on February 20, 1934 in Gatesville, Texas. Her family relocated to Hamlin, Texas in her early childhood where she graduated from High School in 1951. She served as Drum Major in High School and enjoyed English studies, Art, and Singing. She enjoyed working in the garden at home and at church. Decorating her homes and flower gardens by adding her personal touches growing beautiful lilies. Fishing and watching the Houston Astro baseball games were a delight. She was an active member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Baytown, member of Saint Cecelia Ministry and Tuesday Morning Prayer. Initial helper in the establishment and harvesting of the Garden Ministry. Billy is preceded in death by her Mother, Sophia Catherine (Blanchard) Newland, Father, William (Bill) S. Newland; Siblings, Milbourne Newland, Charles Newland, Elva Jean (Newland) Hall, Tucker Newland, her beloved husband, William Alexander Fininis; and Brother-in-law, Joe Hall. She is survived by her Children, Catherine F. Rangel (daughter) and Fernando R. Rangel (son-in-law), William A. Fininis Jr. (son) and Jamie Fininis (daughter-in-law); Grandchildren, Aaron Fininis, Nina Fininis, Fernando R. Rangel Jr., Rylee R. Fininis, William A. Fininis III; Great-Grandchildren, Jasmine RaeAnn Fininis; Nieces, Vickie (Newland) Fritz, Jerry (Elliott) Wilson, Denice (Newland) Davenport, Tuvona (Newland) Lundgren, Tamara (Newland) Gilligan; Nephews, Milbourne Newland Jr., Doug Elliott, Charlie Newland; Sister-in-law, Beverly June Fininis. Related, Charles Fritz, Debbie Newland, Dick Wilson, Amanda Elliott, Don Davenport, Mark Lundgren, Jeff Gilligan. The family is requesting instead of usual remembrances that donations can be given to Trinity Episcopal Church or charity of your choice. Serving as pallbearers are Fernando R. Rangel Jr., Charlie Newland, Selvin George, Godfrey Simon, Don Davenport, Doug Elliott and Honorary Pallbearer Aaron Fininis.

The family will have a funeral service on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 10:00am convening at Trinity Episcopal Church, 5010 N. Main Street, Baytown, Texas 77521. The interment will follow at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas 77521.
