Alice T. Gunn

Alice T. Gunn, 74, of Henrico passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2018. She was a beloved wife, mother and homemaker and enjoyed travelling, especially with the National Association of Military Retirees. She graduated from Johnston Willis School of Nursing and was formerly a registered nurse. She was preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Mary Taylor and is survived by her husband, just shy of 54 years, Harold R. “Pete” Gunn; daughters, Theresa Gunn and Wendy Gunn; sisters, Vera Williams and Sharon Thompson; and dear friend, Sandra Mehlbrech. The family will receive friends Wednesday, Nov. 7, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231 where services will be held Thursday, Nov. 8, at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Memorial Regional Medical Center and Autumn Care for the loving and dedicated service that she received.
