Nelda Rae Briley

Nelda Rae Briley, 83, of Burleson, TX passed away November 3, 2018 at her residence in Burleson. She was born August 3, 1935 in Longview to Jack and Elizabeth Ophelia McGinnis. Mrs. Briley worked for the Burleson School District as a teacher’s aide. She married Barney Joe Briley June 10, 1953. He preceded her in death November 12, 2007.

Mrs. Briley is survived by her sons: Tony Briley and his wife Annie Lou of Colleyville and Joe Briley and his wife Carmen of Anna, TX; fourteen grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

A service to celebrate Nelda’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2018 at the Chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home, 5000 West Harrison Road, Longview, TX. The family will receive friends starting a 1 p.m. on Thursday until service time as well as in the coffee room of the funeral home after the services. Interment will be in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. The family wishes that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society at cancer.org/donate.
