She was a graduate of St. John's University with a degree in Education and upon arriving in Texas in 1977, attended The University of Texas at Dallas where she earned her degree in Accounting.
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Frank Bonet; daughter Catherine (Bonet) Virkar and husband Salil, son Frank Bonet, Jr and wife Jill; daughter Elizabeth Bonet; daughter Jean (Bonet) Andre and husband Bill; grandchildren Frank, Alexandra, William, Ellie, Shelby and Ryan; brother Joseph Mathews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on November 21, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with internment at Calvary Hill Cemetery to follow.
MaryEllen was an active member of Altrusa International, volunteered at the Dallas Arboretum, and was an avid runner and hiker.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in MaryEllen's honor to the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Dallas.
