Hollis is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Franklin Morris Hankins. He is survived by his loving wife, Kay and their children; Morris Hankins of Franklin, LA, Hollis P. Hankins, Jr. of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Kim and her husband (Garry) McCreight of Cove, TX and David Wayne and his wife (Stacey) of Anahuac, TX and their grandchildren; Samantha, Tyler, Tristin, Braedyn, Avery and Payton.
He had numerous family and friends.
His joy in life was his family, friends and work. He loved his work in the industrial construction arena and recently retired from HB Zachry after 20 years of service. He was admired, loved and highly respected in his field. When he was at home, he enjoyed woodworking and spending quality time with his grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers, Eduardo Mieses, Ernie Pizzini, Larry Kersey, Odon Lopez, Omar Olvera and Tony Marroguin. Honorary pallbearers are Ken Ballinger, Clint Ballinger, Chad Emerson, Brent Emerson, J.T. Page and Charles Hill.
