Scott, Brother its hard to believe that is has been 4 years since you earned your wings.  I know your up there somewhere, cruzin around in your Vette.  I miss you Brother, and think of you often.  I still appreciate your support and humor while we both got chemo, or just visiting each other, at other times. You are a comedian for sure.

But you said that you didn't want anyone to see you in your condition that you were in. I can't believe its already been a year since my buddy passed,  I met Scott in early 2016, sometime in April, on a Friday at oncology.  Scott and I had the same type of cancer, and same doctor.  I was nervous, damn near scared, cause this was my first chemo treatment, well after a little while here comes Scott, he was talking to the nurses as he walked in, he walked down the last row, shook my hand, said hey Brother how's it going, you alright?  There was a stereo on that side, after awhile, he turned the volume up a lil, had some classic rock going, got a few looks from the nurses, lol, but he livened up things, well long story short, he talked with me, like somebody I new for years, he told me what to expect with the treatments, etc......so we exchanged numbers and at that point he became my Chemo Buddy, my Road Dog......we called each other on the regular, visited each others home.  Scott liked to restore classic cars, and he Loved his Vette, and the Man liked him some Pepsi Cola,  Like I love my Harley, we were an hr apart distance wise.  If I was down he lifted me up, and when he was down, I was there for him, even if it was just a phone call, a 36pk of Pepsi put a smile on his face too, even though he said his Nurse and mine, Mary would fuss at him.  After my treatments ended that upcoming Sept. we still kept in contact,  when I went to get my port flushed I would sit there with him on those Fridays. He was one of the most funny, smart people I have ever known, he always called me Sid Vicious or Brother.   He talked about being Coach at a high school in Hampton, robotics team and swimming.  He got on those kids when they were messing up, but I hear they respected him for it, tough love.  One kid he coached, his father, Keith, also got chemo the same days, times, sat on the back row together, all three of us, propped up each other, shared stories, pictures, opinions, etc.  I'll end this book, with saying, Scott I Miss You Brother, I will see you again one day.

Awesome dean and coach, countless life lessons, greatly missed.

You were hard on everyone, but you had empathy and you actually cared to listen . It’s rare nowadays to find that in someone of authority . You were one of the good ones left , you will be missed !

You were hard on me, but that was only to make a better person 🤝 every time I would skip class lol you were the one to catch me 😂 keep watching over your students and the people you love 🤞🏽

It's so many wonderful things I can stay about this man. A great leader teacher and friend you told me when I was in your math class never give up even when the situation is impossible that day you earned my respect. RIP  Phantom For Life

Dean Snyder showed unbelievable character and  integrity.  I know his title was the dean of boys but he was known as DEAN! Giving your guidance to both the boys and girls that title was well earned.  I cant count the times I was able to call on you and you would sit and talk with me regarding my kids to keep them on track.  Your support and dedication to them did not go unnoticed.  Thank you for the positive impact you had on them and me.  

Scott always had a smile on his face and greeted me with that grin! I will never forget how he went out of his way to help me with my algebra 11  trigonometry  and geometry.  He was understanding and such a thoughtful person. Thoughts and prayers are with the family! God speed Scott!

Scott will be missed by so many. Scott and I coached JV / Varsity football together at Phoebus High School. Scott gave all of himself to helping young people, he understood his roll in doing what ever it took to ensure that all students were given an opportunity to become successful in the community and life. All I know is he was good to my boys when they played baseball and even called my younger son his son! Thanks for all you did to try and help me keep him in line! God needed you more than us. Thanks again!

I will forever remember Mr. Snyder. He help me alot being my geometry teacher Especially when I thought I would never understand it. He was so encouraging for me and my future so easy to talk to. Really going to miss him. I pray God looks over him in heaven and save me some time to talk to him when my time comes.  I pray for all tha family and friends. Amen amen

The best memory of Scott was when my son’s robotics club needed a extra teacher for the trip to myrtle beach SC . And Scott said he would go.my son knew that me and Jimmy  were friends with their Dean of Boys but were not sure about him going on the trip,we told him and all his friends to ride with Scott( not the teachers that were going) they listened and called me a few hours into the ride there and said they were having the best trip ever.Every field trip after that the wanted him to go!! R.I.P  Scott heaven is going to be another trip. 

So many I dont know where to start but I'll start with the most important... When I realize that you was more of my friend then my coach. When you know that this man really cares for me. It was mid way thru my freshman in the baseball season when we had are first arguement. It wasnt the argument, it was right after when you let me know you love me and just want what's best for me. The arguments never stopped but neither did our bond. I love you Snyder!

Scott was  was the best dean ever, alway kept me in chec always kept me up to high standards, show a lot of love like he was family, he was very loving and caring, he was great at everything he did, I guess he did it job and he did it well GOD BLESS BROTHER, 

We  are saddened to hear of the passing of Scott.  Gary and his family are thinking of you in this time.

Remembering  from school when you use to yell out hall sweep and always fussing about writing me up going down the stairs you was such a happy person and loving always had a laugh from you  ... now make them angels laugh much love The Webster family
