Florentino Ranjel

Florentino was born in Wasco, California on October 16, 1921 to Juan Josefina Ranjel. He was raised and educated in Wasco, CA. In 1946 he married Alicia Cristerna and they moved to San Jose and lived there for several years before settling in Visalia, CA in 1990. Florentino was a parishioner at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Visalia for many years. He enjoyed playing poker, going to the casino, fishing (in his younger years) and traveling.

Florentino was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Alicia on January 21, 1999 and his son Joseph in 2000.

He is survived by his children, Jessica Ranjel of Visalia, CA and Rudy Ranjel of Vancouver, WA; grandchildren, Deedee Andrade, Stephenie Ranjel, Michelle Shah, Christine Saenz, Yvonne Ranjel, Rudy Ranjel, Danny Ranjel, Maricel Ranjel, Mark Ranjel,& Loreen Ranjel; great grandchildren, Michael, Monique, Taylor, Alicia, Marissa, Diana, Andrew, Adrianna, Devon, Emilie, Avianna, Gabriella, Brianna, Lianna, Ava, Joseph, Colin, Quincy, Jayden, Aliyah and his great great grandchildren, Camille and Ezra.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 4 – 6 p.m. with Rosary beginning at 6 p.m. at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Goshen Avenue in Visalia, CA. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 10 .m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Visalia. Interment will follow at Visalia Public Cemetery, 1300 W. Goshen Avenue in Visalia.
