Obituary of Joseph "Joe" Shoffner Hornaday

Joseph “Joe” Shoffner Hornaday, 78, of Liberty passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at his home.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 10:30 until 11:00 a.m. at Liberty Friends Meeting. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Liberty Friends Meeting; burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard.

He was the son of the late Lewis Solomon and Mary Alice Shoffner Hornaday and was also preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Faye Ware Hornaday and brothers, Lewis Hornaday Jr., Thomas Hornaday and Charles Hornaday.

Joe is survived by his son, Kevin J. Hornaday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post 81, PO Box 42, Liberty, NC 27298 or Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27405.
