Donna Marie Lasu (Leisenring) was born in Lansing, MI in March of 1956. She passed away on December 23, 2018, from complications of Alzheimer’s. Donna was a graduate of Grand Ledge High School, and received a master’s degree in Audiology from Central Michigan University. She worked for the federal government as an audiologist at various military bases, and VA hospitals in California. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Myrle and Marian Leisenring; and sister- in- law, Lynn Leisenring.
Donna is survived by her daughter, Akiye Lasu, and granddaughter, Mila Gonzalez; sister, Ruth Ann (Guy) Garland; and brothers, Mark, Gary, and John Leisenring. She also leaves behind five nieces; three nephews; a great niece; and a great nephew.
A memorial service will take place January 13, 2019, at 1pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt, MI 4882. Per Donna’s request, cremation will take place. The family would like to thank the owners and staff of Addie’s Acres for the wonderful care that was given to Donna during her time there.
