Susanne Marie Westmoreland

Mrs. Westmoreland was born August 8, 1946 in St. Clare Shores, Michigan, the daughter of the late Madeline and Al Skiffington. She passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018 in Huntington.

Mrs. Westmoreland was a caring mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family doing puzzles and painting. Mrs. Westmoreland liked horses, teddy bears and loved to spend time with Chicka.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and David Matthews of Huntington; son, Gayland Westmoreland of Huntington; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, John and Rebecca McCoy of Huntington; granddaughter, Mikayla Westmoreland of Huntington; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Robert Hopkins of Colorado; brother, Al Skiffington of Alaska; brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Debbie Skiffington of South Carolina; three great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, friends and family members.

Mrs. Westmoreland was preceded in death by her parents; stepmom, Helen Skiffington; and her grandparents.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Hopkins, David Rush, Joey Broussard, Dustin Ford, Paul Taylor and Danny Plemons.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday at Gipson Funeral Home.
