Laila Ariel Serna, 8 months, of Edinburg, Texas left to be with the Lord on Monday December 31, 2018 in San Antonio. Laila was born to Melissa Ann Veliz and Luis Serna on April 1, 2018 in Edinburg, Texas.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving parents: Melissa Ann Veliz, Luis Serna; siblings: Leah Aurora Serna, Jayce Alexander Serna; maternal grandparents: Maricela (Norberto Martinez) Velasquez, Armando Veliz; maternal great-grandmother: Susana Gonzalez; paternal grandparents: Bertha and Simon Serna. She will also be greatly missed by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary recited at 7:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 12:00 PM at St Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, McAllen, Texas. Interment will follow Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens, 4607 North Sugar Road, Pharr, Texas 78577.
