Wanda Joyce Beasley

Services for Wanda Beasley, 80, of Lufkin, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2019 at Ryan Chapel United Methodist Church in Diboll with Bro. Charles Weeks Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Ryan Chapel Cemetery.

Mrs. Beasley was born May 12, 1938 in Angelina County, Texas, the daughter of Tommie Elma (Barnes) and the late James Fred Christie. She passed away Monday, January 1, 2019 in a Lufkin hospital.

Mrs. Beasley was a loving mother, sister and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and working with her husband in their business. Wanda loved to spend time with her family and baking for them. She was a long-time member of Ryan Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her mother, Tommie Elma Christie; sons and daughters-in-law, Felix Andrew and Patti Beasley, Keith and Teresa Beasley; daughter, Bridget Crowley; son, Doug Beasley and girlfriend Regina; son, Nick Beasley; grandchildren, Carol Carriveau and husband Albert, Casie Beasley, Crystal Naillis and husband Michael, and Lara Strickland; sister, Melba Louise Christie; brothers, Jim "Bud" Christie and Wayne Christie. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and other family.

Mrs. Beasley is preceded in death by her father, James Fred Christie; husband, Andrew Beasley; and sister, Nelda Sellers.

Pallbearers will be Richard Yount, Allen "Bubba" Loggins Jr., Randy Green, Charles Ray Davis, Brad Coleson and David Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mack Coward, Roger Williams and Billy Ray Davis.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Wanda's memory may be made to Ryan Chapel United Methodist Church, 555 FM 2497, Diboll, TX 75941.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
