He grew up in Edmond and was an alumni and football star (#40!) of Edmond Memorial High School.
He met his late wife, Gloria Bondurant, in Edmond and they began their life together in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where they had Scotty Jr, Drew, and Marcy. Eventually moving back to Edmond, Scott became popular Pop-Warner Football coach while his sons were growing up, which gave him years of pleasure and life-long stories and friendships.
Scott was always intrigued and inspired by the works of Frank Lloyd Wright. He studied Architecture at Oklahoma State University and went on to follow his passion by working in design, architecture, and painting. A few of his designs and works can be found in Seattle (Allenmore Medical Center), Kansas City (Michaels Plum), Oklahoma City (OSU-OKC, JJs Alley, various others), Tulsa, Edmond, and Norman (private residences). He was a Professor at Oklahoma State University in Oklahoma City, He taught architecture, design, and drafting, all of which inspired many students throughout the years. One of his most creative works can be viewed at JJ’s Alley in Bricktown.
Scott is predeceased by his wife of 35 years, “Glo”, and his parents, Georgie and Ira.
His family includes his children; Scott Duncan Jr and wife, Tammy Rembisz of Winter Park, Colorado, Mark Drew and spouse, Anne Broeren of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and Marcy Millington Ryan and Daniel Ryan of Rumson, New Jersey. The extended family also includes 12 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. To his family he was known as “Pappy”. His brother, Seth Franklin Millington, also resides in Norman, Oklahoma. Scott is also survived by his significant other, Hala Rogers, of Oklahoma City. To Hala, Scott is “Pooh” and will forever be missed.
Scott had a passion for Life! He loved to travel, paint, and share his life with Family. His motto was; “Have Someone to Love…Have Something to Do….Have Something to Look Forward To…” Scott will be greatly missed but his spirit will live on in his family and all the lives he touched.
