THOMAS WAS A WONDEFUL PERSON & SO KIND & HELPFUL TO US BOTH! WE ARE SO SHOCKED TO HEAR OF HIS PASSING! HE IS ONE WHO DEFINITELY MADE THE WORLD A MUCH BETTER PLACE! ALWAYS HAPPY, PLEASANT & SMILING! OUR SYMPATHY TO THE FAMILY! SUCH A GREAT LOSS TO EVERYONE WHO KNEW HIM! 


	I wish I had the right words but know I care.  Thomas was more than a colleague, he was someone that cared giving advice with a big heart.  I have known Thomas for 5 years, he welcomed  me with that big heart and open arms.  He is a great  loss, I will miss him, but he will always be in my mind and heart.  My heart, prayers  and thoughts go to his family

Harold and I have been blessed to know Tom and Margene through our Sunday School class at WBC.  One word that I think of that describes Tom is passionate. He was passionate in his love for the Lord,  his compassion for the lost,  his love and care of Margene,  his many responsibilities at our church,   his dedication to his job at Belk's, and in his value of his church friends he called family. We express our love, prayers, and concern for Margene as she adjusts to a new phase in her life.

First I would like to say thank you to all those who have sent such kind words about Uncle Tommy. I'm sure they have been a great comfort to Aunt Margene. 
Thank you to all those who are now and will, comfort her in the days to come.

Sitting in my prayer closet thinking about Tom I noticed a book he sent me in 2005, four years before I got involved in house church ministry entitled "The Man God Uses".  (Amazing how God works). The book list a number of -"qualities of good character". Holiness, A pure heart, A contrite heart, Fear of God, Faithfulness, Obedience,  Seeks and loves God, Servant of the Lord. Tom exemplified all these characters and the LORD used him in a mighty way, both hear in the U.S. and in Brazil. 

I will cherish our times of fellowship, our times of communication,  and our times of prayer. If I could say anything of any value about Uncle Tommy, let me say this. He is loved, he will be missed, but more importantly,  he will be remembered as a man that God used!





Words could never express how much my Uncle Tommy's love and support for my husband and I has meant. His and Aunt Margene 's love and service for our Lord Jesus has always been such an inspiration to us. We will truly miss him but know one day we will see him again in heaven. I know because of his witnessing that many people were able to hear the gospel and come to the saving knowledge of Jesus. Thank you Uncle Tommy. 

Tom was my only uncle.  Aside from his love for jokes and food, the thing that most stands out in my memory of him is his love for Jesus.  It seemed like he was always up before anyone else, reading and studying the Bible.  He was always telling others about Jesus, whether it was waitresses at a restaurant or people at work.  

Tom was a remarkable man who loved the Lord.  He always had a kind word and always let me know that he and his wife Margene kept my family in their prayers. He was a devoted man to the word and to his wife. He will be missed.

I met Thomas  in Brasil and he impressed me with his commitment in sharing the word of God with the brasilians. Thanks God for having chosen him to help many souls come to know God.

Tom was a dear man.  He loved the Lord and always praying for others.
He shared his testimony and talked about God  all the time.  He loved to go
to Brazil to witness  to the people there.  We were blessed to have at our church.
Please pray for Margene as she goes through the next few days .  We love them
both and will always remember him as a dedicated Christian man.


Thomas and I worked in the Men's Dept together for about 2 yrs. He was a nice and calm spoken man. He would always be remembered by his passion and LOVE FOR GOD, he had within himself and he would always speak life in dead situations and tell many stories about the bible. He had a way with words, He would say, Laquita I enjoy working with you! He knew how to get a smile upon my face and I would just laugh out loud and move on!
Last Sat, he came by the fragrance dept and I said hello... do you need any smell good today and he said no dear I'm good! I never thought that would be our last convo. 
To the Family, God gained an Angel in Heaven.

I worked with Thomas at Belk in High Point.  He was always a very sharp dressed man with a witty, friendly personality.  He always spoke when you walked by.  He will be greatly missed.  

A man of integrity was Tom, never once did I ever witness him waver in that.  We worked together for about a year. Daily I was reminded that, Tom loved the Lord and life. He never missed an opportunity to tell you how much his wife meant to him nor how much God effected his life. He will truly be missed.

I met Mr. Tom at Dillards in 2000.  He welcomed me to the team true Tom fashion. Tom was a go getter. He stayed in Top 10 for sales😄! One of our slower nights we began to talk. He began to share who he was & where he was from & who the love of his life was. Such a true inspiration in my life as young Minister at the time.  I'll never forget he and his wife how they took time up with my wife & I. His Faith in God & love for people will be truly missed. No doubt he's been crowned Top Salesman in Heaven for his pitch of the Gospel & closing the deal for Soul Winning!

Mr.Thomas was a man who never complained and elated with life, Thomas always had encouraging words to anyone who spoke with him, he found out I had surgery he prayed with me and he would ask daily how I was doing and let him know if there’s anything he can do,I just saw him Sunday during our inventory at work and he was singing , Mr. Thomas will truly be missed  my condolences to his wife and family

Thomas was someone very special and dear to me. I met Thomas back in July when I first started working at Belk and he was truly the highlight of my days. I remember he made it his top priority to start his shift or mine with a hug and a few kind words. Sometimes he didn’t even know how much that hug meant but it was so meaningful. For Christmas him and his wife gave all of the managers candy and a daily bread book. This particular day I was dealing with a lot mentally and I remember how that gift almost made me cry. I also remember when he wanted me to meet his wife and I told her how much I love Thomas and how much of a pleasure he is to work with. He always had something nice to say and the customers loved how he went above and beyond for them. I am at a lost but the thing that keeps me happy is knowing that heaven gained one of the best Angels yet! My prayers are with his sweet wife and family.

I worked with Tom for many years at Dillards and Belk.  What a good man!  He loved the Lord and he shared many stories about his mission trips that he looked so forward to every year. He always spoke of his wife with such affection . Oh how we will all miss him but I am sure the heavens are rejoicing that he is home! 


Thomas was probably the first associate to tell me that he appreciated me as a leader, and he kept that same energy every so often during my 18 months working with him.  His positive attitude and appreciation for the smallest acts made anyone near him appreciate his presence.  I appreciate him for the “Daily Bread”  books he’d bring me every month to make sure I stayed motivated and grounded.  Thomas loved life, loved his wife, and loved helping people.  I’ll always remember him dancing in our morning meetings and never failing to do something to make everyone laugh.  He’ll be missed.
