Barbara Lou (Anderson) Fridley, 68, of Craigsville, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at Envoy in Staunton. She was born in Staunton on April 29, 1950, a daughter of the late John Richard and Virgie Viola (Berry) Anderson.
Barbara worked as a stocker with Walmart and attended Little River Church of the Brethren. She was a devoted wife and mother. Barbara lived a very simple life, but she was a fighter until the end.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Cecil Fridley; son, Michael Anderson; and brother, Jim Anderson.
Survivors include her son, Russell Keith Fridley of Craigsville; as well as numerous extended family and friends. Barbara also leaves behind her four-legged friends, Missy and Mikey.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at Little River Church of the Brethren, 711 Little River Rd, Goshen, with Pastors William E. Gram and Rob Via officiating. Burial will follow in Community Memorial Cemetery in Craigsville.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 28, 2019, at the Staunton Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
