Mrs. Dorris Arnette Johnson, 93, of Hope Mills passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2019. She was born to her parents George and Leadie (Sloan) Arnette on September 23, 1925 in Lee County North Carolina.

Left to cherish her memory are her Children, Judy Johnson Whytsell and Ira Jay Johnson, Jr.; her brother, Michael Arnette; six grandchildren, Kristie, Erica, Timmy, Courtney, Rocky, and Samantha; eleven great-grandchildren, Kristina, Thomas, William, Gray, Tucker, Caroline, Carlee, Sean, Sebastian, Carson, and Colton; and two great-great-grandchildren, Jackson and Charlotte. She was preceded in passing by her husband, Ira Jay Johnson, Sr.; three children, George, Georgia, and Edward; and her parents George and Leadie (Sloan) Arnette.

Services will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 1 p.m. in Friendship Baptist Church of Hope Mills. A visitation with family and friends will be held prior to the service from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. , prior to the service. Burial will take place in Cumberland Memorial Gardens, Raeford Road, Fayetteville.
