Mildred "Midge" Overcash Hilton

April 24, 1926 – January 29, 2019

Mrs. Mildred “Midge” Overcash Hilton, 92, of Lenoir passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at the residence of her grandson, Brett Barlow, with whom she was living.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, three sisters and three brothers.

Mr. Hilton was born on April 24, 1926 in Gaston County to the late James Overcash and Bertha Travis Overcash.

Mildred was a member of College Avenue Baptist Church and worked at Shuford Mills for many years.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Daniel Hilton and wife Cathy of Newberry, South Carolina, brother, Larry Overcash of Maiden, a sister, Thelma Rasberry of Durham.

Also left to cherish her memory are seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

A memorial service to honor the memory of Mrs. Hilton will held on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 2:00 pm at College Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Chuck Brawley officiating.
