Gilbert "Papaw" Arnulfo Acosta

He was born in San Angelo, Texas on October 17th, 1953. Gilbert graduated from Abilene Cooper High School in 1972. He married his sweetheart Mary A. Martinez on November 9th, 1974. He spent many years working as a truck driver with Sunny Fresh Farms and Cal-Maine Foods where he was fondly referred to as “Eggbert” and “Bert”. He was a member at Gateway Church NFW. He had a passion for God and worship. He served in sharing the gospel and the love of God with every person he met. He was very passionate about his family and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, Adolfo Acosta and Mary Acosta, and his brother Edward Acosta.

Survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Mary A. Acosta. Children & spouses Connie and Terry Hill, Jessica and Thomas Dromgoole, Aaron and Jackie Acosta, and Joshua and Heather Acosta. Grandchildren Cayla, Avery, and Calvary Hill, Brayden, Noah, Celeste, and Kyra Dromgoole, Isaac, Benjamin, Micah, Judah, and Elijah Acosta. Siblings Edna Calderon, Jacqueline Acosta, Adolph Acosta, and Roy Acosta.

Memorial service will be Thursday, February 14, 2019, at 10 am at Gateway Church NFW, 4209 Basswood Blvd. Fort Worth, Texas 76137
