Ronald Ashley Marler

Ronald Ashley Marler passed on February 5, 2019 at 74 years old. He is survived by his wife, Freddie, and his two daughters – Ashley, his biological daughter, and Rebecca, his spiritual daughter whom he adopted into his heart. Ron and Freddie were married for fifty-three years. They met in college and shared many wonderful life experiences together before God called Ron home. As a young boy, Ron was an Eagle Scout which peaked his interest in being of service to others, and he chose service as his life’s work. As an adult, Ron worked as a District Executive for the Boy Scouts of America to further his life’s purpose and to lift people up through the love of God. He was a member of John Calvin Presbyterian Church in Metairie where he taught Sunday school and was an Elder. Ron was very active in the church until the last few years when illness took hold. He is now at peace in Heaven in the arms of God.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 17th at John Calvin Presbyterian Church in Metairie, located at 4201 Transcontinental Drive, Metairie, LA 70006. Visitation will begin at 1:30pm with a memorial service to begin at 2pm.
