A Celebration of Life Service for Mary Jane Tresner, 61, of Nacogdoches will be held on Saturday, February 9 at 4:00 pm at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel officiated by Pastor Travis Hayman. Friends and family are invited to stay for a visitation following the service.
Mary Jane passed away on February 4, 2019, in Nacogdoches. She was born in Wichita, Kansas to parents William and Vivian Glazier on February 8, 1957.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Joe Glazier; brother-in-law, Gerald Fleshman; and sister-in-law, Carolyn Glazier.
She is survived by her loving husband, Lee Tresner; daughters, Crystal Snelson and husband Jerry, Amber Payne and husband Chris; son, Pee' Wee Tresner; grandchildren, Christopher Ferguson and wife Rylee, Laura Snelson, Levi Tresner; brothers, Al Glazier, Paul Glazier and wife Lidia, Grover Glazier and wife Margaret; sisters, Susan Tackett and husband John, Diane Fleshman; sister-in-law, Shawna Glazier; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mary Jane will be remembered for being a lover of her family, a hard worker, a fighter, and a joy to be around. She has overcome many health battles in her life and has showed us by example that life is worth living. She often showed her love for others by baking chocolate chip cookies. Her favorite color was purple, and her favorite holiday was Christmas. It wasn't about giving or getting gifts for her. She loved the simplicity of gathering with family and friends. That was what was important to her. When she had free time you might hear her singing a Rod Stewart song, "You're in my heart , you're in my soul" or watching Hallmark movies. Mary Jane also loved her Kansas Jayhawks basketball team. She will be missed and never forgotten.
