life to be with his Lord on February 4, 2019.
Robert was preceded in death by Connie,
his beloved wife of 62 years. He is survived
by his son Brian; daughter Janice; daughter
-in-law, Marlene; son-in-law, Matthew; and
grandchildren, Elizabeth, Daniel, and
Catherine. He is also survived by numerous
nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grandnephews.
Bob was a loving and devoted
husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He will be greatly
missed by the many people who knew and loved him.
Bob was the son of George and Stella Claydon. He was born in
Buffalo, NY and his family relocated to Washington, D.C. when he
was a young boy. Bob served in the Air Force Reserves for three
years. He obtained his degree in Electrical Engineering. Bob had a
long and distinguished career working for the National Security
Agency and retired in 1993 after thirty-five years of service. His
hobbies included anything mechanical, working on his cars, and
gardening in his yard. Bob had a quick mind that could grasp
things easily and repair anything. He was a gentle and kind man
who never hesitated to lend a helping hand to his family.
Bob touched many lives throughout his life.
