Arlene H. Zimmerman

Arlene H. Zimmerman, 94, of Schaefferstown, passed away in her home on Tuesday, February 5, 2019. She was the wife of the late Dr. John B. Zimmerman who died in 1989. She was born in Heidelberg Township on March 6, 1924, a daughter of the late Jacob W. and Stella D. Eberly Hoffman. Arlene was a self-employed beautician for many years. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Schaefferstown and was known to her family and friends as a sweet and gentle person. Arlene was the last of her immediate family and is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Lillian Schaeffer and Earla Lightner; brother, Ephraim Hoffman. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s UCC, 1304 Heidelberg Ave., Schaefferstown, PA 17088.
