TUSCALOOSA – Charles Roland White, age 89, of Tuscaloosa, died February 5, 2019, at UAB. Services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, February 11, 2019, at Rice Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Sam Delaney officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at Rice Valley Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Roland White; mother, Josephine Little White; stepfather, Virgil Barton; and stepmother, Mary Lee Barton.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Lee Pearce White.
Pallbearers will be Brian Latham, Doug Latham, Scott Gilliam, Ritchie Bailey and WJ La Foy.
Honorary pallbearers are members of Rice Valley Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
