Virginia Elizabeth Cole

Virginia Elizabeth Cole, 90, passed away February 22, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-New Albany. She was born September 6, 1928, to James Pink Lowe and Maude Lemerle Leflore in Laurel, MS. She enjoyed doing hair, working in her flower beds, gambling, and taking care of others, especially children. She and her husband Jesse D. Cole, lived for many years in Theodore, AL, before returning to his hometown, Booneville, in the late 60's.

A celebration of life service will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 25, 2019, at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Ben Parman officiating. Burial will be in Old Mormon Cemetery.

She is survived by one granddaughter, Jessica Benitez; three grandsons, George Cole, Terry Cole, Jamie Cole; one brother, Vernon Lowe; one daughter in law, Donita Cole; six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jessie D. Cole; her parents; one daughter, Julie Cole; and two sons, Ronnie and Raymond Cole and one daughter-in-law Terue Cole; one grandson, Michael Shawn Davis, and one infant grand-daughter, Victoria; two sisters, Lessie Hearn and Margie Falk and four brothers, Mundell Lowe, Tommy Lowe, Hilburn Lowe, and Irvin (Beau) Leflore.

Visitation will be Monday from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
