Daniel Olivarez, III, 63, of McGregor, Texas passed in peace Sunday, February 24, 2019, surrounded by loving family and friends. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2019 at Cole Funeral Home in McGregor, officiated by Vincent Carpenter. Interment will follow in Post Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at the funeral home.
Daniel was a ranch hand in Crawford Texas for over 30 years, which he loved. He joined the Marines at a young age had the privilege of serving in Vietnam. He is fondly remembered by family and friends as a pillar of respect and honor. He loved the ranch life and his dogs and chickens. He loved playing chess and was a #1 Trumpster Fan at heart. Daniel took self education seriously and he studied Judiasm and The Bible for many years, that brought him much understanding and peace until the day he met Jesus.
Daniel was the loving father of daughters; Christina (Christy) and husband, Bobby Turgeon, Josefina (Josie) and husband, Ivan Lopez, Deborah Eve Olivarez (Evie); son, Nathaniel Olivarez (Nate); and Stepfather to Martin Torres (Marty). He was the proud grandfather of Maegan, Malaki (Mallie), Solomon, Madison (Maddie), Angel-Love, John Adam, Nathaniel (Milo), Basia (Shewolf), Cherish (Eva May), Lucciano (Chano), Jeremiah, Truly (Journey), Eden, Neesah, Isabella, Zachary and great grandfather to Brynn. Daniel was the brother of Janie and husband, Manuel Lopez, Frank and wife, MaryAnn Olivarez, and Gabriel and wife, Amber Olivarez. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Joshua, Daniel Ray, Israel, Courtney, Gabriella, Rachel, Daniella; great nieces, Paige, Ruby; great nephews, Daniel (Cinco), Cash; and his mother Mary Olivarez.
He was proceeded in death by his father, Daniel Olivarez II.
